Lesson 105: Namán

Namán has many meanings.

1. Use namán to soften a command or request.
Huwág namán kayóng maingay. Please don't be noisy.
2. Use namán to say "considering" or "given the circumstances."
Mabuti namán siyá. She's fine, considering. . .
3. Use namán to mark contrast.
Si Kikò ay payat; si Calóy namán ay matabâ. Kiko is thin; Caloy on the other hand is fat.
