Lesson 39: Word order




When the subject comes before the predicate,
we say the sentence is in SP-order.

When the predicate comes before the subject,
the sentence is in PS-order.

In SP-order the predicate marker ay is placed between the subject and predicate.








In PS-order ay is not used.




SP-orderPS-order
1. Si Charina ay umaalís.Umaalís si Charina.Charina is leaving.
2. Silá ay dumádatíng.Dumádatíng silá.They are coming.
3. Ang batà ay mabait.Mabaít ang batà.The child is good.
